This week offers patchy weather with some wind and precipitation – this peaks on Thursday with what I predicting will be some welcome snow for the ski areas. On Friday it looks to be settling down to light winds and sunny skies. Let’s hope!
The fishing is still quite difficult, but the brown trout are starting to come into range around the lake shore margins. Lake Wanaka is slowly dropping as is Lake Hawea. The fishing will continue to improve, and with every day giving better sun angles and the lakes levels steadily dropping, to expose the weedbeds where the fish are feeding, things are only looking up!
